The seventh edition of GEO closed on 29 March 2006 having reaffirmed its position as the definitive petroleum geosciences event in the Middle East. A record total of 4,172 trade visitors and conference delegates registered from around the world, marking a 14% increase over the 2004 event.

The exhibition of exploration and development products, services and technology spanned 6,000 metres of space at the Bahrain International Exhibition Centre, and featured 149 companies from 24 countries.
