The second edition of the Beauty Arabia exhibition series ended on a buoyant note on 21 April 2007, having attracted 8,664 top-end consumers and trade visitors.
This figure marks a substantial 38% (2,382) increase in visitors in comparison to Beauty Arabia 2006. Of the total figure, 20% (1,729) came from Saudi Arabia - the region’s largest single market.

Key exhibitors reported a significant amount of interest and sales activity during the four day event at the Bahrain International Exhibition Centre, and praised the unique buying environment stimulated by the show’s exciting atmosphere.

The 3,500 square metre exhibition was officially inaugurated by Bahrain’s Minister of Industry and Commerce His Excellency Dr. Hassan A. Fakhro, who reiterated the government’s support for Beauty Arabia and praised the value the event creates for participants, visitors and Bahrain alike.

Beauty Arabia 2007 featured 92 companies from 14 countries, including well-known names Chanel, Clarins, the Body Shop, L’Oréal, Lancôme, Max Factor, Nivea and Shiseido amongst numerous others.

An official delegation of exhibitors from Thailand, Coordinated by the Thai Ministry of Commerce’s Department of Export Promotion in association with the Thai Cosmetic Manufacturers Association, the Thai Spa Association and the Thai Hair Dresser and Beauty Specialist Association concluded this line up.

Major local participants included Al Hawaj, Ajmal Perfumes, Ashgar Ali Perfumes, Ashraf-BGDC, J.H. Ruyan, Nazih Trading and Syed Junaid – many of whom brought together international names in boutique format.

The exhibition profile embraced all aspects of the health and beauty market, including perfumes and cosmetics, hair care products and accessories, health and wellbeing products, spas and health resorts, toiletries and personal care products and cosmetic surgery clinics.

As an added attraction for visitors and a further marketing opportunity for exhibitors, daily haircutting, makeup and product demonstrations took place on a dedicated stage area, which formed a central part of the exhibition.
