The Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC)
The Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) is a nationally-owned petroleum company which contributes to 77% of India’s crude oil production and 81% of India’s natural gas production. It is also heavily engaged in exploration, producing about 30% of India’s crude oil requirements while exploring in 26 sedimentary basins. The ONGC is one of the leading supporters of GEO India reflected in the fact that Mr D.K. Pande, Director of Exploration, is chairing this event.
The
American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG)
The American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG) is one of the key organisers of GEO India. As one of the world’s largest professional geological societies, the AAPG draws on a wealth of experience and expertise in organising technical conferences. The organisation is committed to promoting the science of geology, especially in the area of exploration and production of petroleum, and in providing high-level technical training to inspire professionalism in the oil and gas industry.

Association of Petroleum Geologists (APG India)
The Association of Petroleum Geologists of India is an association which brings together petroleum geologists to discuss, deliberate and plan ways and means to support worth-while educational and scientific programs or projects related to the geosciences.
Society
of Petroleum Geophysicists (SPG India)
The Society of Petroleum Geophysicists (SPG India) is an association of professionals in the petroleum industry designed as a forum for individuals to interact and to exchange technical knowledge.
Society
of Petrophysicists and Well Log Analysts (SPWLA India)
The
Society of Petrophysicsts and Well Log Analysts (SPWLA) is a non-profit
corporation dedicated to the advancement of the science of petrophysics
and formation evaluation, through well logging and other formation
evaluation techniques and to the application of these techniques
in the exploitation of gas, oil and other minerals. Founded in
1959, SPWLA provides information services to scientists in the
petroleum and mineral industries, serves as a voice of shared interests
in our profession, plays a major role in strengthening petrophysical
education, and strives to increase the awareness of the role petrophysics
has in the oil and gas industry and the scientific community.
