Golf Tournament at Jaypee Greens

Join us at Jaypee Green Golf Course, located just five minutes from Expo XXI for a round of golf. Enjoy lunch at 12.30pm at the clubhouse, followed at 1.30pm for an 18-hole golf tournament. By playing in the tournament, you will meet fellow visitors at the event and thereby learn more about what is happening in the oil and gas industry. The fees for the tournament include:

The Honourable Mr Murli Deora, Minister of PNG, Government of India, will open GEO India 2008 at 9.30am in the Banquet Hall at Expo XXI.

Cultural dinner: 19.00 – 22.00 at the Expo XXI Lawns

A festive, exhilarating evening featuring some of Bollywood’s brightest talents that promise to give visitors glimpses of India’s renowned cultural heritage while visitors will enjoy a sumptuous dinner and drinks. Jazz lovers and music devotees alike will be treated to the sounds of the Louiz Banks bank and troupe, comprising the famous Louiz Banks, Shadab Hussein, Adittee Bhagwat, Anant Panchal and others. Again, there will be transport available to ferry visitors back to their hotels.

A Tour to New Delhi: Running daily dependent on numbers

Visitors to India cannot leave without seeing the historic, majestic Taj Mahal. A special tour is to be arranged after the conclusion of the event to ensure visitors witness this world famous icon. The price per passenger is Rs 2,500 which includes bus travel to and from the site, light refreshments and lunch.

A tour to the historic Taj Mahal is also offered to spouses during the course of GEO India 08 (dates to be confirmed). The price per passenger is Rs 2,500 or $US75 per passenger which includes bus travel to and from the site, light refreshments and lunch.

A Tour to New Delhi

No visitor to New Delhi should miss the opportunity to discover this fascinating and eclectic city. Enjoy a tour around New Delhi in the comfort of an air-conditioned bus while visiting historic places, markets and emporiums. Encounter the modern and hidden, historic side of this world-famous city. The cost is Rs1,000 or $US25 including transport and light refreshments.

Spouses Programme

We value the involvement of spouses at GEO India 2008. This programme - costing Rs 2,500 - includes entry to all the cultural dinners, lunches, ice-breaker reception, a complimentary kit, as well as visits to the exhibition centre.

Student Programme

Students have the opportunity to learn about the exciting geoscience industry at GEO India 2008 through this specially organised program. For $US45, students can attend oral sessions, enjoy the lunches, cultural programmes, film shows, quizzes and other special sessions, as well being given a special delegate kit.
